Why am I not receiving updates?

You may be wondering what happened to your applications and updates. We've relocated our business to Washington state from Silicon Valley. In doing so, we had to establish a new LLC which required us obtaining a new developer account from Microsoft. Unfortunately, there is no way to "roll" download data into a account which means your downloads under the old account are "forgotten." To restore automatic update notifications, you must delete the old app from your phone and download the latest version from the Windows Phone Marketplace.

How often do you release updates and where can I get them?

Our policy is to fix all "undocumented features" (bugs) promptly and to release a new version as soon as the fixes are tested. The last digit of a product's version number is rolled whenever bugs are fixed and a new version released.

 

New features are also released regularly. We consider all user requests for new features. Our goal is to provide content rich applications. The second digit of a product's version number is rolled whenever a new feature is introduced.

 

The general format for our version numbers is:

 

[Major Version #].[Feature Release #].[Bug Fix #].[Misc Mod #]

Do you charge for updates and upgrades?

No. We won't charge for upgrades either. Once you buy the app you'll get all the fixes and new features we add including major upgrades.

Where did the company get its name?

"This time for sure" is every software developer's mantra. This was especially true in the olden days when programmers had to "submit their jobs" to the "computer operator" through a slot in the wall of "the computer room" and wait for hours only to find you made a stupid "keypunch" error in your all-nighter stupor and you would have to fix it and wait for hours again.

Why is Ham Radio Reference free now?

As noted earlier, we were not able to roll "download" information when we created our new LLC in Washington state. Unfortunately, it also means that those of you who were kind enough to purchase Ham Radio Reference won't be getting the free lifetime upgrades we promised. The only solution we have been able to come up with is to resubmit the application as a free application under the new account. We will also keep it ad free since that is how it was originally sold.
